Designed for parents and coaches of athletes, this workshop provides insight into the unique mental health landscape facing today's young athletes. Learn to recognize signs of struggle, understand generational differences in mental health awareness and help-seeking, and create supportive environments. It includes practical guidance on having conversations about mental health, when to seek professional support, and how to balance high expectations with psychological safety.

LAURIE MILLER
Athletic counselor and Masters level intern

Currently completing my Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Athletic Counseling MEd programs at Springfield College, I bring both personal experience and professional expertise to our work together.
I work with athletes from all backgrounds, with a focus on those in aesthetic sports like gymnastics. As both a former athlete and coach, I understand the physical and mental challenges of sports.
My experience includes competitive team coaching and mental health support, allowing me to provide well-rounded guidance throughout your athletic journey.
As an intern at Skadi Sport Psychology, I offer services at a reduced rate. All of my work is supervised by Dr. Ayala, ensuring you receive high-quality, professional support on your athletic journey.
